The McAllen heavy crewneck, for the town that is the City of Palms on the Rio Grande. A classic 50/50 fleece sweatshirt with the McAllen vintage retro logo on the chest in white: the plain, durable one.

This heavy crewneck sweatshirt is cut in a classic unisex fit from medium-heavy fleece, with a ribbed collar, cuffs & waistband, double-needle seams, and a tear-away label. The design is DTG-printed. Fabric is a standard 8.0 oz 50% cotton/50% polyester (Heather Sport colors 60/40). White may appear off-white; the Orange hue may vary.

The Santa Anita Ranch was a Spanish land grant of 1797; the railway reached it in 1904 and the McAllen Townsite Company, named for Irish-born rancher John McAllen, was founded on December 5 that year. The city incorporated in 1911, and some 20,000 New York Guardsmen were stationed here in 1916.

The City of Palms nickname was set by 1940. Quinta Mazatlan, a 1930s Spanish Revival adobe mansion, is now the World Birding Center, in a valley where more than 540 bird species have been recorded, in citrus country where Texas turns tropical and two countries share one valley. The City of Palms is the mark on this piece.

Every item is made to order, so please check the size chart on this page before you buy. Women's fitted tees run small; size up for a looser fit. Caps are one size with an adjustable strap.

How do I send a gift?

Enter the recipient's address as the shipping address and your own as the billing address at checkout. Nothing ships with a price; the package includes a plain packing slip. Tracking goes to your email, not theirs. For birthdays and holidays, order two weeks ahead to be safe.

Made-to-order items can't be returned or exchanged for size or color, so please use the size chart and photos before ordering. If anything arrives defective, misprinted or damaged, send a photo and your order number within 30 days and we'll replace it or refund you.

How do I care for my item?

Apparel: wash cold, inside out, with like colors; no bleach; tumble dry low or hang dry. Embroidered pieces: iron inside out to protect the stitching. Caps: spot clean. Printed glasses and water bottles: hand wash only, no dishwasher, so the artwork lasts. Mugs and engraved glasses are dishwasher safe. Any item-specific care notes are in the description above.
