Why are they called dragons at all? Because an American salesman's English rulebook named them that. Chinese players never did, and their tiles usually show characters instead.
Three carved beasts in gray, red and green, on a shirt that looks like it came out of an old box. It is for the player who corrects people about Chinese characters and the friend who just thinks the dragons look great.
The word dragon is an English invention for these tiles, coined by the man who brought the rules west. Chinese players do not call them that. Some American sets went further and replaced the red or green character with an actual picture of a dragon.
A few export-style sets show two winged green dragons. Chinese dragons do not have wings, which suggests those tiles were drawn for Western buyers. Yet early export sets used characters too, so there was never one neat rule. Look for wings next time you handle an old set. They tell you who it was made for.
This relaxed tee is ring-spun cotton at 6.1 oz, garment dyed so every shade comes out slightly faded and soft. Choose your size from the table below. Cold machine wash, no bleach, low tumble dry, and a low iron if you need one. And as always, profits support hunger relief.
