Ahoy, polloi! The Compo Yacht Club — Westport's "finest institution since 1920", founded the very week the taps ran dry — proudly presents the official club glass. The burgee that flies a martini where lesser clubs fly a star, UV-printed on 10oz tempered glass like the etched barware that's been behind the clubhouse bar since Coolidge.

And here's the detail the Membership Committee is smuggest about: hold it to the light and the burgee flies both ways — crisp on the near side, mirrored through the back — exactly how a real flag reads from windward and leeward. Your drink comes fully rigged.

Yes, it's a rocks glass at a martini club. The Commodore ruled decades ago that stemware is for people who spill, and the ruling stands. It handles a martini down, a dark 'n stormy, two fingers of anything, or plain seltzer for those merely keeping up appearances. Perfect for a three-hour tour of your own porch — the weather can start getting rough; you're not leaving the dock. Any port in a storm, provided the port is well stocked.

The essential glass for boat owners, boat wanters, dock loungers, martini loyalists, and anyone whose yacht exists primarily in conversation. Pairs dangerously well with the club tee.

The fine print, read it like a tide chart: 10oz (0.3L) clear tempered glass, BPA-free, UV-printed and made in the USA. Hand wash only — like all club traditions, it doesn't survive modernization. Printed to order; profits support hunger relief.

Welcome aboard. Dues are one olive.
