This is our retro Waco, Texas logo, printed in weathered charcoal on a retro vintage washed cap — an unstructured cotton dad hat that looks broken in from the day it arrives. The charcoal carries a faint wavering tone and a light speckle, so the print reads like it has been in the sun as long as the cap has.

The cap is 8.5 oz 100% cotton twill, enzyme washed and heavily brushed for a soft hand, with an unstructured six-panel crown, a mid-profile fit and a curved bill. A self-fabric strapback with a metal slider adjusts the fit and tucks away, and a self-fabric sweatband lines the inside. It is garment dyed with OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes, so every cap's color varies slightly — washed here means faded color and a weathered print, not distressed or frayed.

  • 100% cotton twill, 8.5 oz, enzyme washed and brushed
  • Unstructured six-panel crown, mid profile, curved bill
  • Self-fabric strapback with metal slider
  • One size fits most — hat sizes 6¾ to 7⅝
  • Logo printed in charcoal with a weathered tone
  • Hand wash cold, air dry; made to order

One size fits most, so it is an easy gift to get right: no size to guess, only the town. Each cap is made to order. Hand wash cold and air dry, and keep it out of the dryer. As with everything we make, profits support hunger relief.

So Waco stacks Ice Age giants, a Wichita namesake, a Chisholm-Trail bridge, and an 1885 soda fountain onto a single bend of the Brazos. Our Waco designs gather that into wearable form. Wear the history. Born on the Brazos, on the old Chisholm Trail.

The city's name comes from the people who were here long before the fossils were found again. The Waco — or Hueco — were a Wichita-affiliated tribe who farmed and fished along the Brazos in the late 1700s, on the very ground the city now covers. The first settler's cabin went up in 1849, the town was platted and incorporated through the 1850s, and Waco took its place as the seat of McLennan County in central Texas — the ‘Heart of Texas,’ sitting on what is now I-35 about halfway between Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin.

Why People Visit Waco

Waco balances discovery with simple outdoor time. Visitors mix fossils, the historic bridge, and museums with shaded riverfront parks and an easy downtown. It is friendly, curious, and easy to navigate, with year-round appeal in its parks, paths, and public spaces. Frontier Texas and Ice Age deep time sit side by side here — history and everyday culture together in a welcoming way, with relaxed mornings and unhurried afternoons.
