This is our retro Stratford, Connecticut logo, printed in weathered charcoal on a retro vintage washed cap — an unstructured cotton dad hat that looks broken in from the day it arrives. The charcoal carries a faint wavering tone and a light speckle, so the print reads like it has been in the sun as long as the cap has.

The cap is 8.5 oz 100% cotton twill, enzyme washed and heavily brushed for a soft hand, with an unstructured six-panel crown, a mid-profile fit and a curved bill. A self-fabric strapback with a metal slider adjusts the fit and tucks away, and a self-fabric sweatband lines the inside. It is garment dyed with OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes, so every cap's color varies slightly — washed here means faded color and a weathered print, not distressed or frayed.

  • 100% cotton twill, 8.5 oz, enzyme washed and brushed
  • Unstructured six-panel crown, mid profile, curved bill
  • Self-fabric strapback with metal slider
  • One size fits most — hat sizes 6¾ to 7⅝
  • Logo printed in charcoal with a weathered tone
  • Hand wash cold, air dry; made to order

One size fits most, so it is an easy gift to get right: no size to guess, only the town. Each cap is made to order. Hand wash cold and air dry, and keep it out of the dryer. As with everything we make, profits support hunger relief.

The brothers who collected buildings. Ask Stratford for its strangest story and you'll be sent to Boothe Memorial Park: two brothers, David and Stephen Boothe, spent the early twentieth century filling their family homestead with structures nobody could quite explain — a clocktower museum, a chapel, a blacksmith shop, a windmill, a trolley station, and, in time, an original Merritt Parkway tollbooth. They willed all thirty-two acres to the people of Stratford, and the town has been happily puzzled by it ever since.

Today Stratford is a Connecticut shoreline town in the Bridgeport metro, where colonial harbor history meets twentieth-century aviation. Boothe Memorial Park spreads its salvaged history across 32 acres above the river, Stratford Point Light still marks the mouth of the Housatonic, and the Lordship beaches face out onto Long Island Sound. Our Stratford designs gather that identity into wearable form — the oyster shell, the lighthouse, the harbor, the Sound. From a 1639 oyster harbor to the birthplace of the American helicopter — wear a little of Stratford's Connecticut history.

Why People Visit Stratford Connecticut

Stratford draws visitors with a rare mix of colonial harbor history, Long Island Sound shoreline, and aviation heritage. Travelers find it both a 1639 oyster town with a lighthouse and beaches and the birthplace of the American helicopter, with the quiet, layered character of the Connecticut shore. It is historic, maritime, and unmistakably New England.
