The Green Mountain Boys Crystal Ornament
Green Mountain Boys 1775 Crystal Glass Holiday Ornament Shown on a Lit Tree, Vermont Frontiersman
SHOP THE ORNAMENT
A Green Mountain Boy of 1775 in his fringed hunting shirt, standing on a bare rocky knoll, drawn in pen and ink and printed on faceted crystal glass. They were the farmers, hunters and frontier families of the New Hampshire Grants, who cleared the hill farms, crossed Lake Champlain to Fort Ticonderoga in May 1775, and went on to found the Vermont Republic. The gem-cut edge throws a halo in the tree lights, and a slim red ribbon threads the top. With America's 250th anniversary underway, this is the ornament for Vermonters at home and away, Ticonderoga and Lake Champlain visitors, and every family with a Green Mountain Boy in the tree.
