For anyone who has climbed the stairs of Bom Jesus, or wants to. The great zigzag stairway rises in white and granite flights toward the twin towers of the church, with a wreath and red bow on the facade for the season. A gift for pilgrims and travelers, for families from the north of Portugal, and for anyone who loves a church built to be climbed toward.
Bom Jesus do Monte stands on a wooded hill above Braga. Work on the present sanctuary began in 1722, and the neoclassical church at the top, designed by Carlos Amarante, was begun in 1784 and consecrated in 1834. The Baroque stairway below it climbs 116 meters through the flights of the Five Senses and the Three Virtues, each landing with its own fountain, chapels and statues.
Pilgrims have climbed it for three centuries, some of them on their knees. For everyone else there is the Bom Jesus funicular, built in 1882 and still running, said to be the first funicular on the Iberian Peninsula. In 2019 the sanctuary was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The drawing is our own, in black and white in the manner of an old engraving, with the green of the clipped hedges and the wreath's red bow as the only color. It is set in a three-inch faceted crystal round, white-backed so the zigzag stairs stay crisp against a lit tree or a window, and comes in a white or gold gift box.

Because items are made to order, we can’t accept returns for sizing or color choices. We do accept returns for defects, misprints, or shipping damage. Please review the detailed photos and descriptions before purchasing. Women’s fitted tees run small; if you prefer a looser fit, consider sizing up.

How do I care for my item?
For apparel: wash cold, inside-out, with like colors; avoid bleach and high heat; tumble dry low or hang dry. For embroidery, iron inside-out to protect the stitching. How are items made and when will they arrive?
We make each item on demand using premium blanks, embroidery, and soft-hand prints. Production usually takes 2–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). You’ll receive tracking once shipped. We currently ship to U.S. addresses via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Most orders arrive within 6-12 business days.
What’s the return/exchange policy?
We accept returns for defects, misprints, or damage on arrival. Report issues within 30 days with photos and your order number, and we’ll replace or refund. Size or color changes aren’t supported after purchase, so please consult size charts before ordering if you are at all unsure.
