Unisex embroidered dad cap with an unstructured 6-panel, low-profile fit and a Permacurv visor. Made from breathable cotton with a self-fabric hideaway strap and antique-brass buckle, plus a matching undervisor and four-row visor stitching for durability. All colors are 100% cotton; the camo variation is 65% polyester / 35% cotton. Classic embroidered finish — durable and vintage-inspired. Because embroidery uses thread (not ink), slight differences from the digital product image are normal and part of the process. Full details explained in our Embroidery footer.

Corpus Christi is the Sparkling City by the Sea — the largest city on the Texas coast, wrapped around a broad blue bay where the Nueces River meets the Gulf of Mexico. A WWII aircraft carrier rides at anchor off North Beach, the longest wild beach in America runs south down a barrier island, and a steady Gulf wind works the water nearly every day of the year. Few American cities carry a name this old: the bay was christened in 1519, three centuries before anyone built a town on it, and the working port that grew here became one of the great harbors of the nation. Salt, steel, and that endless Gulf horizon — that is Corpus Christi.

People lived on this coast for millennia before any ship arrived: the Karankawa and Coahuiltecan peoples followed the bays and barrier islands through the seasons. In 1519 the Spanish explorer Alonso Álvarez de Pineda mapped the bay and named it Corpus Christi — Latin for “Body of Christ” — for the Catholic feast day on which he sighted it. The name outlasted empires. Ranchos spread under Mexico, and in 1839 the trader Henry Kinney planted a trading post on the bay's western shore. Zachary Taylor's army camped here in 1845–46 on its way to the Rio Grande, the new Nueces County made the settlement its seat in 1846, and Corpus Christi incorporated as a city in 1852.

Why People Visit Corpus Christi Texas

Corpus Christi draws people who love the water, the wind, and a deep streak of history on the same coast. It is the Sparkling City by the Sea — home of a WWII carrier you can walk, the longest wild beach in America, a leading Gulf-coast port, and a proud Tejano-cultural heart. Visitors come for the rare combination: a working bayfront, barrier-island shore, the steady Gulf wind that made the bay a windsurfing capital, and the Blue Ghost riding at anchor over it all.
